Update on Baby Daniel

Back in March of this year we had planned to bring Daniel to our home in Manila for a visit from the Gentle Hands Orphanage. The only trouble was he was already booked for a visit with one of the teacher's at Faith Academy! It seems that Kim Abels had a habit of caring for an orphan each Christmas when one of the other childrens homes in Manila gave their staff a vacation. They would distribute the kids to the homes of missionaries over the Christmas holidays. However, last Christmas the kids from that home were all snapped up. Feeling a bit lonely, Kim called Gentle Hands and asked if they had a baby who could be cared for and Daniel was chosen. Lucky man! Kim has cared for several babies over the years for short periods of time but never felt the tug to go beyond a 2-3 week visit. That changed with Daniel. To make a long story short, Kim has decided to foster Daniel full time and has gone from full time to part time teacher at Faith. We are delighted to see Daniel being cared for by one of our friends from Faith Academy. Pray with us and Kim as she fosters Daniel that the Lord would have His way with him.
