A Golden Opportunity

Our trip from  Thailand to San Francisco went smoothly, though it did come to mind that we were traveling on a Boeing 777 - the aircraft that, coincidentally, has been in the news more than once recently.

Our first stop included a visit with Josiah and Thea Weihman (pictured here). While still in the Philippines we became legal guardians for Josiah and his sister, Kimberly, until they reached the age of 18. Their mom, Remy, had open heart surgery and wanted to make sure there would be a "safety net" of  committed care for her kids should her physical condition change. Josiah  is in the Air Force at Travis Air Base. He and Thea are doing great!

Our major connect in the Bay Area is with Community of Grace Church, a long standing supportive fellowship that receives jet-lagging missionaries from Asia (us:), refreshes them and sends them on their way to gear up for a heavy travel schedule. Thanks to our hosts, Brad and Lynn Smith and all the Community of Grace family. Your generosity and passion for the Lord inspire us.

Prayer Requests:

1. Pray for Heather as she waits for the outcome of a job interview - that God would prepare her for  the result.
2. Pray that Krista's senior project - an art show - displaying a number of her works - would come together. Mom and Dad are helping with cooking, set up and clean up and happy to do it!
3. Our travels - first trip begins March 26 through May 2. Pray for strength and good connections with individuals and churches. Pray for depth and growth of our support network.

Serving Christ with You, Steve and Alberta
