Member Care Training Cross Culturally
One of the most exciting parts of our trip to Nagaland, India before coming back to the US was to meet with local church leaders. We provided basic training in how to care for the overseas Christian workers they are sending out. Member care has been predominately a development from the North American church. Now, as Indian churches have workers offering themselves to serve cross culturally, church leaders are desiring training in how to mobilize their congregations to provide support and care for these new workers.
Since being back in the US, we've already had several calls about member care issues in South Asia. We look forward to continuing a dialogue with those who want to grow member care in the Asian context.
One of the outgrowth's of these meetings is the setting up of a monthly call with workers in Bangladesh who don't have a member care support system but do network with TEAM in ministry. Pray for us as we continue to train and counsel across a dozen time zones!

Prayer Requests:
1. Pray for us in the thick of renovations. We will be moving into our home tomorrow, after having the use of a friend of a friend's house for the last month. We still have a lot of work to do but with the kitchen up and running and one bedroom sleep-able - we are ready to take the plunge!
2. Pray for us as we juggle ministry calls and work on the condo.
3. Pray for Krista as she puts in job applications that God would direct her to the right position for her.
4. Pray for Heather in lock down in Glasgow, Scotland. As you can imagine, the virus threat has shut all theaters so pursuing work in theater is pretty much on hold. She is thankful for her online job, teaching Chinese kids English!
Serving Christ with you, Steve and Alberta
