Road Trip Update 

Greetings from my (Steve's) hometown of Northwood, ND. The farmers are hard at work plowing and planting and we just got a half inch of rain so they are ecstatic! 

We've covered almost 8000 miles and seen lots of family and long time friends. One thought that has stuck with me since our time in the Philippines - one of the reasons there has to be an eternity is: there are not enough hours in the day - not nearly enough time to catch up on all the relationships God has privileged us with in our life time. We treasure our abiding friendships and wish we could have had visits with each of you. We have grown through our contact with each of the people we have visited and also had opportunity to pray with a number as they shared the challenges they are facing.

Prayer Requests:

1. We have just learned that Bethany has had to lay off a number of workers due to tight finances. Please pray for those who will be looking for new jobs. May God lift up their hearts and reveal Himself to each of them as the God that will "be with you wherever you go". 

2. Pray for me and Alberta as we will be sharing in the service at Northwood Community Bible Church this Sunday. Pray the members would be encouraged as we share what they are a part of as they support us in our work.

3. Pray for our workshops at Bethany's annual missionary retreat in Bloomington, MN June 19-22. We will be speaking on Stress, Expectations, Grief and Loss - all areas that have a current relevance in view of the changes that have recently taken place.
