Dear Family and Friends,

Alberta has been updating me from Manila as to the devastation to the city and the lives of the people. As the pictures show, there are many in need right now. Alberta says she drives by people holding cans out, asking for help. She has been helping a doctor at an evacuation center where they are treating people primarily with wounds to their feet. People walking in the flood waters cut their feet on things they couldn't see. Tetanus is going to be a problem so they have been giving

tetanus shots. We are checking with Bethany to see if we could set up a fund to take in tax receiptable gifts. We are located right in the heart of the worst area of flooding. Alberta says it reminds her of Aceh after the tsunami. Thankfully, our house is located on an old rock quarry and slightly higher than the surrounding subdivisions. Power has been restored but we don't have water yet. Krista has been cleaning houses of friends who were hard hit. We will keep you posted on any new developments. Pray for Alberta and the girls as they try to be available to the needs of so many. Serving Christ with You,

Steve, Alberta, and Krista
