Dear Family & Friends,

Sometimes when we are involved in ministry we run across a project that we would like to help with through your partnership. While in San Jose Mindoro for the joint Bethany Pastors' Conference we observed the new set of classrooms you see in the picture. What we also noticed was the occasional dog or goat "slipping into class" for an unwanted visit. The reason: Bethany Christian Academy (BCA) as the project neared completion. They completed the lion's share of the work - spending $25,000 to put up the new building. However, the Philippines is experiencing a drought and in this agricultural economy that has made finances tight.

We were wondering if we, together, could raise $1000 to help BCA finish their classroom before school starts June 15? What is needed - you ask? Window guards, doors, some final plastering and some paint to brighten up the appearance. Perhaps you know of a Sunday school or Christian school that might be looking for a project to give to or you may want to give a personal gift to help get this school off to a brighter start!

Here's what we plan to do. As in the past, we would like to ask you to email us if you would like to pledge an amount toward this project. When we have reached our goal, we will send out a second email telling you no more pledges are needed. Then we will give instructions on where to send your checks. We have arranged with one of our supporting churches to provide you with tax deductible receipts for this project. Once all the pledged amounts are in they will forward the money to us and we will disburse it to BCA in Mindoro. Thanks for your consideration.

Serving Christ with You, Steve & Alberta
