On June 1 thirteen guests arrived in anticipation of Krista's graduation. Bethany pastors, their kids and some former students of the Bethany School of Church Planting joined us to soundly congratulate Krista on her completion of high school. The challenge for everyone was that the stove, refrigerator and washing machine - along with some of the beds were picked up by those who had purchased them the morning after Krista graduated. Our guests stayed on for another two days providing "creative" opportunities for sleeping and meals! We had a great time and were so glad our friends spanning two decades were willing to
join us under such spartan accommodation and meal arrangements. After the fridge and stove went food would be ordered or brought in and it became a continuous buffet. Our last day (June 9) was a marathon of tying up loose ends. Deliveries were made, last minute packing done and sifting through of remaining items to see who they would be donated to. We finished at 11 pm and got about 3 hrs. sleep before rising to get ready for a 6 am flight out of Manila. We are now in San Francisco visiting supporter friends and will share with one of our supporting churches, The Community of Grace, this Sunday. Pray for a smooth transition as we adjust back to the US.
