May 6th Alberta and I again headed to Johnson City, Tn for another wonderful time celebrating our daughters' lives at Milligan College. Heather graduated magna cum laude with a BA in Humanities. We are so proud of Heather for the hard work that went into her studies. But more than her academic accomplishments we are proud of the relationships that Heather established. Many of her friends and professors approached us and complimented us on what a wonderful young lady Heather is. Thank you for praying for Heather at college - we would ask you shift those prayers to petitions to the Lord to lead her now as she seeks employment. She would like to go on to grad school in the future but feels that she needs to take a break from studies and work for at least a year or two.
Krista finished her freshman year at Milligan on the dean's list and was awarded a small scholarship by her employer (off campus food service company) for excellence in service. Pray for Krista as she flies to Maryland June 1 to work at Sandy Hill Camp for the summer. She will continue at Milligan College in the fall.
Home Sweet Home

Alberta and I have been globe trotting for 23 years and have never owned a home. We have been praying about buying a "family home" for about 5 years now. About 3 years ago we looked at a group of condos in Johnson City, TN and decided we liked them - it was just that they were a bit beyond our price range!
This past week we toured a number of homes in the area and felt discouraged. On a lark we re-visited the condo subdivision we had visited previously and found several units for sale. To make a long story short - a graduating med school student priced her unit for a quick sale adding that it was negotiable. As we toured her unit we noticed a note tacked to a bulletin board. It said "sell condo by May 31"! We saw the unit on Monday, pre-qualified for financing Tuesday morning, made an offer Tuesday afternoon and received word that our offer had been accepted Tuesday evening. Whew!
At present, our plans are for Heather to move into the unit when we take possession in June. When we finish up my studies at the end of the summer we will move our possessions to Tennessee. We will base there as we travel out to do support raising in anticipation of our return to Asia. More about that later.
