Our home here in Wheaton has seen lots of activity with summer schedules bringing transitions to our lives and others. Alberta's friend Je
an Baumbach, missionary from Niger, spent the night last week as she visited friends in the area. David and Jul Stone, Bethany folks from Asia also visited. They treated us to a taste of Kopi Luwak, a coffee variety made famous by the movie "The Bucket List".
Our kids are in transition too with Krista in Maryland working at a camp and Heather driving back to Tennessee (as I write this) to begin her job search.
I (Steve) am taking a summer course in Career Counseling that has had immediate usefulness in giving
Heather some ideas as she heads into the job market. She even sat in on one of my classes. Pray for Heather as she looks for work.
We head up to Minnesota and North Dakota next week. We'll celebrate Father's Day a bit early with my dad and then pick up the stuff we have been storing at Bethany. At the end of July we will move our belongings to Tennessee. Thank you for your prayers as my time of study comes to an end and we begin to prepare for the next phase of God's plan for our lives.
