The cliff edge in our lives as we prepare to get on the road is a mountain of financial resources needed to fuel our vision of focused pastoral care for missionaries in Asia. Our revised evaluation of our support package reveals a need of $1600/month. In addition, we need to raise $20,000 in set up funds as we get established in a new place. That breaks down into 3 categories: 1) $12,000 for a used vehicle 2) $4000 to purchase furnishings for home and office 3) $4000 for one month reserve for expenses.
But you might say, "this is not the kind of economy to be raising this level of finances" right? That's why we titled this update "Nothing Short of a Miracle". In 25 years of ministry the Lord has provided for our needs through his church - his people. We've attended all manner of support raising seminars and read the books - but honestly - we've found if we just let people know what our needs are - we can leave the rest to God. We are committed to serving the missionary community in a pastoral capacity. We leave the rest to God and His church. We are getting more invitations to share our vision in recent days so if you would like to schedule something be sure to contact us. Contact info is also here on the blog.
