Beside Still Waters

While doing my internship at TEAM this past summer I learned of a retreat center for missionaries in Huron City, MI. Alberta and I have been enjoying the R&R and ministry of encouragement that the staff are gifted with. Having just finished 12 months of studies, Alberta's work and setting up our home for Heather and her roommates - we were ready for some down time. Yesterday morning our devotional exercise was "no talking" from the time we got up until lunch time. We have 1400 acres to wander on - a mile of shoreline of Lake Huron to walk and pray on. Pray that we will hear from God as we prepare to return to pastoral care ministry in Asia early next year. Thanks to all who are hosting us and making connections with churches and friends as we communicate our burden for missions and pastoral care of missionaries. Our next stops are Bowling Green, OH and Auburn, IN where we will minister in churches the next two Sundays.
