Teaming up with Team

We realize that some of you are wondering how our plans are moving along. Thanks for your patience as we have walked a road of faith in what we believe is God's next phase of ministry for us. Bethany and TEAM mission agencies have formalized a memo of understanding (M.O.U.) allowing us to work in an 'on loan' relationship to TEAM in South East Asia.

We are still on schedule for a late February departure if we can complete the visa requirements to the satisfaction of the Thai Embassy in Washington D.C. Please pray that our paper work will be processed smoothly.

As you can see in the upper left hand corner of this blog, our set up fund and monthly support level still have room for improvement:) If you would like to get involved, follow the link (lower left side bar under "Giving Options") or contact us directly.

Also, pray for us as we begin the search for housing in Chiangmai Thailand even while we are stateside. We are already perusing the Chiangmai classifieds that Christian workers send each other there by email.

Last week we made a trip to North Carolina to accomplish two visits. First, we met with one of TEAM's two RMCCs (Regional Member Care Coordinator) for Asia to finalize the details of our M.O.U. and learn more about our new position. Pray for us as we come up to speed as new members of TEAM's global member care team.

Secondly, we traveled to Goldsboro N.C. to visit Josiah and Thea Weihman. Alberta and I were legal guardians for Josiah in the Philippines until he turned 18. He is now married and in the Air Force. Pray for them as Josiah is deployed to the Middle East in April.

Finally, pray for Alberta and the medical team that just arrived in Tegucigalpa, Honduras this week (Jan. 14-21) as they minister to the nationals. Pray for wisdom as the seek to provide the right blend of physical, emotional and spiritual assistance.

Serving Christ with You, Steve & Alberta
