Someday Jesus will make "all things new". For now, we are experiencing an a dizzying array of newness in our physical world. As you can see, not only the language is different but the script is different. Peo
ple speak with a singsong of tones which adds to the complexity of the Thai language. The climate was quite a change: the morning of the day we left Tennessee it was 30 degrees F. while the day we arrived in Chiangmai the temp reached the mid 90s. Still, it is a dry heat - something to be thankful for as we head into the hot season here (March / April).
It looks like our quest for a a residence will take us through 4 stages: 1) staying with TEAM co-workers for the first 5 days (thanks Doughertys) 2) simple hotel for 10 days 3) sublet apt. for 3 months 4) a more permanent rental in June.
Thanks for your prayers for our travel. Pray for us as we bounce around a bit in our first months in country. Pray for us as we seek out Thai language tutors for some basic language learning.

The country is lovely and we are glad to be here. Thanks for your partnership.
