What to do with a day off in Thailand? How about a trip to the Elephant Farm? These beautiful creatures used to work for their living in the logging industry. Now they reluctantly back tourists like us on one of the bumpiest rides you'll ever want to take. The ability of their trainers to teach them to curl their trunk around a spectator's neck, paint a picture or kick a soccer ball is amazing.
Getting Established
We continue settling in to the Chiangmai community of Christian workers. Much of our work in future will be doing referrals. When TEAM's Christian workers come to Chiangmai for help we want to be able to put them in touch with resources that fit their needs. Now is our opportunity to get to know locally avaialble resources.
Global Member Care Conference
Extending Christ's Kingdom is becoming increasingly difficult in a world hostile to the Gospel. Acknowledging the growing challenge, member care representatives from around the world will be convening here in Chiangmai, Thailand to discuss the implications. This first ever gathering of more than 360 member care representatives from various agencies will be held April 23-27. Since TEAM's regional member care personnel are scheduled to participate, TEAM has included a Regional Member Care Consultation (April 18-22) for their staff. Please pray for us during the dates April 18-27 that we will fully engage in the discussions on improving member care. Also pray that many useful networking connections will be made.
