Team Building at Men's Retreat

In the safe setting of a Christian men's retreat I was amazed how many men confessed to broken relationships with dads. Successful missionaries and businessmen shared candidly about the verbal, physical and sexual abuse they experienced at the hands of their fathers. We testified to one another how God's grace rescued us from the sense of shame, fear and alienation we felt from  'father wounds'.

Part of my goal in attending the men's retreat was to connect with other Christian men in Chiang Mai. I saw first hand the healing that could take place in the presence of other caring believers. I now plan to gather with a handful of men weekly over coffee at a local restaurant that we might encourage and support one another.

Pray for me and Alberta to be able to establish close friendships far from home and encourage others on the fields we visit to do the same.
