Navigating the Carnival Cruise Minefield

Last week Alberta and I celebrated 25 yrs. of marriage by taking a cruise to the Bahamas with Heather and Krista. Little did we know that three Carnival cruise ships would have "issues" which caused a range of inconveniences to their passengers. We had a great time on the Carnival Fantasy, the oldest ship (older is better:) in the Carnival fleet. It home ports at Charleston, S.C. Krista was on spring break from college so we arranged to vacation together for the first time in 7 yrs.

We are now in furlough travel mode, having just left Williamsburg, VA. and heading to Fairfax Station, VA.

Prayer Requests:

1. Safety in car travels for the next 5 weeks.

2. Good connections with churches and friends as we share our burden for the pastoral care of missionaries.

3. Success in raising new support to cover higher than anticipated costs in our new base in Thailand. We also need to replace support for those who have had to discontinue their giving. We need new partners to take the financial support 'baton' from them. Thanks for your prayers.

Serving Christ with You, Steve and Alberta
