Steve Squared 

I (Steve) met Steve Shenk in 1975 in New Zealand aboard a 7000 hp. oceangoing tugboat named the Mister Fred. We both were working in the offshore oil industry for Jackson Marine Corp. Steve was a new believer in Jesus while it would take me 2 more years of searching to find my way to the Savior. 

Steve and his wife Pam have been friends and supporters of our ministry for many years. He currently works for an international service company that has a contract with the military in Afghanistan. Having earned a leave but not wanting to jeopardize his tax status by returning to the states, Steve wondered if he might visit us in Chiang Mai. "Yes, of course!" We had a wonderful time exposing him to elephants, spicy Thai food and various aspects of the Christian community we are a part of. Steve hopes to transition back to the US next year as work in Afghanistan winds down. Would you join us in praying for God's provision for this great family in this next season of their lives?

1. Pray that we would make good connections with Christian workers as we travel to two locations in central China Sept. 10-20.
2. Pray for a great opportunity that God has dropped in our lap locally to develop counseling training for Thai pastors.
