Coming To The Well

In our last update we mentioned the story of the woman at the well. Chiang Mai has a modern day application of the counseling principles Jesus used with the Samaritan woman at Jacob's well. One of my (Steve) responsibilities here in Chiang Mai is to serve as a board member of  "The Well Member Care Center".

The Well is a pastoral counseling center that  pro-actively builds resilience into Christian workers through a variety of encouraging retreats and insightful workshops. In addition to these activities, the Well maintains a pastoral counseling staff ready to minister to a wide variety of critical needs of Christian workers serving far from home.  The Well is an oasis of refreshing and healing to Christian workers in Thailand and neighboring Asian countries. Currently "The Well" is experiencing a shortage of seasoned counselors. Would you join us in praying for the recruitment of counselors and trainers to continue to provide care and refreshing for Christian workers based in Asia? Thank you.

Pray for safe travel in China Sept. 10-27 and language helpers along the way as we get from point a to point b. 

Pray for the Spirit's anointing as I (Steve) speak in a retreat and teach counseling through an interpreter

Pray for wisdom for me and Alberta as we counsel with people at each stop on our itinerary.
