Teaming Up to Do Member Care

Alberta and I feel we complement one another in our ministry with Christian workers, whether it be groups or individuals. While we both are involved in counseling, she is strong in the knowledge of how physical health impacts the rest of our humanity and spirituality. Her enhanced medical knowledge helps us promote the idea that to be spiritually  strong and emotionally healthy one needs to take care of the body that carries 'the rest of us' around in it. I use counseling training to assess needs in the emotional spiritual component. We are blessed to minister as a couple.

CEUs Completed 

This past week Alberta attended a series of workshops put on by the Christian Medical and Dental Association. These sessions are intended to provide certified continuing education units (CEUs) for qualified medical workers who live and work far from their passport countries. Not only were their medical skills updated, but they experienced a rich time of fellowship with 500 committed Christian doctors, dentists and nurses who are making a difference for Christ all over the world. 

Prayer Requests:

1. Pray for travel safety, health and stamina for the upcoming 3 week trip.

2. March 16-21 - Pray for good contact with Christian workers in Taiwan.

3. March 22 - 28 Pray for good visits and ministry of the Word in Cauayan, Isabela (our former ministry location in the Philippines).

4. March 30-April 6 - Pray for both of us as we teach practical counseling skills in 10 sessions to the pastors, elders and families from both of the works Bethany started in Isabela and San Jose, Mindoro. This year both groups of pastors will be together in San Jose. 
5. Pray for Alberta's mom. She has weakened markedly in the last couple of months and needs quite a bit of assistance to get around.
