Philippine Trip Part  2: Bethany's Joint Ministers Conference Celebrates 20 yrs.

In the late 1970s, a Filipino that was trained at Bethany Global University returned to the Philippines to start a church planting ministry in the province of Occidental, Mindoro. In 1982 a group of Bethany's graduates from North America established another church planting work in Isabela province in northern Luzon. In April 1995 the first joint fellowship of these two groups of pastors and elders was held in Isabela. Last month we returned to Mindoro to celebrate  20 years of this joint fellowship . Alberta and I taught 10 sessions on basic counseling principles. Pray with us that this counseling training will help church leaders  provide pastoral counseling to their congregations. 

A highlight of our trip to Mindoro was a special outing to 'Grace' Island, a treat for the pastors and their families to enjoy one another's company in a restful fun environment. 

After completing our ministry in the Philippines we returned to Chiang Mai for 3 days to re-group from our three week trip, do laundry and pack. April 15 we flew to Johnson City, TN to begin our two month furlough.

Pray Requests:

1. Pray for the Christians ministering in Nepal to the survivors of the earthquake. They need God's strength, wisdom and discernment as they face an overload of needs.

2. Alberta and I are facilitating a care team that will go to Nepal to minister to Christian workers fatigued by their work in the relief effort. Pray for the preparations, travel and ministry of this care team.

3. Pray for us as we travel through the mid-west and on to Ontario, Canada that God would use us to encourage people to become more involved in missions.
