The Head is the Best Part

In 1890 Team's outreach for the Gospel began through the work of Fredrick Franson, a Norwegian used by the Lord as a mobilizer to reach out to Asia's masses (as well as other locations in the world). As our waiter sliced up the fish entree at Team's 125th Anniversary Banquet, one of Team's expat workers based in Taiwan sitting at our table requested the head. An astonished member of the North American delegation countered with "you're not really serious are you?" Of course he was! Welcome to Asia! 

As we rubbed shoulders with delegates and shared about the importance of pastoral care for Christian workers, our North American visitors got "discipled" in everything Asian. We are grateful for Team's invitation for us to join a variety of Team's leadership personnel from both Asia and North America as we celebrated 125 yrs. of fruitful ministry. 

Prayer Requests: 

1. Pray for us as we do a short training on cultural orientation to the new Bethany interns on Sept. 23rd. Pray for receptive hearts that will embrace culture and be open to change and ambiguity.

2. Pray for us as we plan a two week trip to China in October. A lot of work goes into preparing for these trips - both in logistics and seeking the Lord about the kinds of things that are needful in each different location. 

3. Pray for Heather and Krista as they both are looking into post grad educational opportunities.
