Rhythms

Dear Family and Friends,

One of the joys of returning to Thailand is getting back in the groove of relationships that we have established here in the last four years. I (Steve) meet with a great group of guys every Tuesday that I share life and pray with. One of the guys expressed a feeling that many of us have thought but didn't know how to articulate. As each of us return to North America on furlough, we don't find a consistent 'rhythm' of intimate contact with other guys as we have here. We all tend to travel non-stop and are seldom in one place longer than a couple of weeks. In the future, we plan to utilize a communication technology like Skype to bring a traveling member of our group into our weekly meetings. Pray for both me and Alberta to be able to grow through close relationships here in Thailand.

Additional Prayer Requests:

1. Our first Asian member care trip since being back will be August 7-14 to Japan. Pray for God's leading in our preparations of what each of us would share and for meaningful contact with the Chr. workers there.
2. Continue to pray for Heather to be able to prioritize her preparations for her masters program in Guildford England in September.
3. Pray for Krista as she assumes greater responsibility in her work at Milligan College in the Marketing Dept. with her boss moving to a full time teaching position.
4. Pray for Alberta as she finishes up assignments for the intensive course she took in Atlanta in June. We hit the ground running on a couple of situations here and our schedules have been full.

Serving Christ with You, Steve and Alberta

ps Our 5'x10 ' 6th floor balcony has become a nursery for a small local bird species. We have five active nests to bird watch!
