His Exquisite Timing
Our lives are punctuated by the invisible footprints of God. Sometimes His presence is evidenced by events that fall into place in ways that seem extraordinary. That we were in Oregon when we heard the news of Alberta's mom's failing health instead of Nepal or China was an amazing gift to us. This made it possible for us to be with her 3 days before she passed away.
Alberta and I were slated to be in the Washington DC area when she learned that the interment of her mother's ashes would be about that time. We were able to arrange a flight to Canada for her to be with her family and two days later she re-joined me for our DC visits.
My sister, Nancy, and her husband, Fred, sold their house in South Carolina and purchased another in Florida so quickly that they were scrambling to figure out a way to move their belongings. It worked out that Alberta could drop me off in Greenville, SC the day she drove to CIU in Columbia, SC for her intensive course, making it possible for me to drive a U-Haul truck to Florida for my sis. We are so glad that we could be in North America this spring - and thank God for whatever part He played in our being present for these important family events.

Prayer Requests:
1. Pray for Alberta as she completes her intensive course at CIU this week. She will follow up this week of classes with several assignments on the transition of a Christian workers back to their passport country from their field of service. It is so timely that this is one of her last courses as we contemplate our own transition back to the US next year.
2. Pray for our upcoming annual Regional Member Care Coordinators retreat in Greeneville, TN. This is our chance to fellowship with our peers from around the world and work on our vision and strategy for our member care ministry in TEAM.
3. Pray for our plans for our last car trip to come together. We will be traveling up to Illinois, Minnesota and North Dakota at the end of June.
Serving Christ with You, Steve and Alberta
