A Restful Day Away
Dear Family and Friends,
Before our blog heads back overseas (with us 😃), we have to give a plug for that restful time away from pressures of people and places that washes over our souls. Alberta and I try to make it to Devil's Lake, ND each year for a day of fishin'. The funny thing is, we don't really care if we catch any of those delicious walleye or those fighting northern pike. (Though we got some of both this year!)
Spending time with extended family in the crisp clear northern climate is so restful and restorative for us. Only seeing two other boats on this vast lake the day we went out meant we could listen to the amazing variety of birds that make the lakefront their home. Our absence from the bustle of the city of a million we live in in Thailand meant we could be present to the quiet beauty of His creation. Our prayer for you is that you may find you own quiet way to let His life, peace and creation restore your souls. Prayer Requests:
1. Pray for our transition to all things Asian. Pray for us as we fit into church life and local ministry opportunities. There are a number of individuals that seek us out, desiring to have a broader support system here in Thailand.
2. Pray also for us as we begin the process of transitioning our work to others here in Asia and move into a new season of life and ministry next year in the USA.

3. Pray for Heather as the play she has directed is showing daily in Edinburgh, Scotland this month. Most of her work is done now but there is always tweaking. The play is a down to earth story titled "Illegal" that contrasts the lives and destinies of two illegal aliens.
Serving Christ with You, Steve and Alberta
