Orvil & Shampa, Flying High ✈
Orvil had a hunger for God that led him into a religious cult in Bangladesh. It was so controlling he could not own a cell phone or talk to strangers. Due to his poverty, he was forced to move to Thailand where he worked in Chiang Mai's night market scene. There he came into contact with our co-workers, Neiko and Wendy, reaching out to the South Asians forced to leave their home countries in search of work. We connected with Orvil when we were asked to speak at trainings and retreats he attended.
While here in Chiang Mai, Orvil found the liberating gospel of Jesus Christ. After a year of being mentored by Neiko, Orvil returned to Bangladesh where he started a church and has almost a dozen home groups 'percolating'. Best of all, in the process of getting all this work started, he met Shampa, a young lady that had been praying for God to send her a Christian man.
Orvil and Shampa, married just five months, recently flew to Chiang Mai to bring a report of their work in Bangladesh. One look at this couple and you realize that they're still flying high ✈, with their feet rarely touching the ground. Pray for Orvil and Shampa as they pioneer new outreaches in Bangladesh.

Prayer Requests:
1. Pray for all the details to come together for our family vacation in December. Krista flies from Atlanta to London, then both girls fly to Thailand together. Finally the whole family will fly to the Philippines. This will be the first time we've been together as a family in the Philippines in 10 yrs. We are looking forward to sweet reunions with our Filipino brothers and sisters.
2. As our plans move forward to re-locate to the US, we are going to be moving to tourist visas for the last 3-4 months. Pray that we would not run into any roadblocks and we will have favor with those who process our paper work.
3. Pray for a buyer for our seasoned (2001) vehicle. The regulations are pretty strict on foreigners selling their cars.
Serving Christ with You, Steve and Alberta
