Competition or Collaboration?

In days gone by, "sheep stealing" in overseas ministry areas was a real problem. These days we are seeing an unusual (and wonderful) era of cooperation among organizations. A couple of days ago TEAM sponsored a fellowship meal with one of two partner organizations that they are collaborating with here in Thailand. We are looking into sharing resources in the areas such as pastoral care,  strategy, leadership and administration. The two organizations we are partnering with here are SEND INT. and CROSSWORLD. We all want to be a part of what HE is doing in Thailand - not just do our own thing. As Galatians 6:10 says "as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith. Pray for our three organizations to work well together in our collaborative efforts.

Prayer Requests:

1. Pray for Alberta, who will be helping to facilitate the local "Equipping Women Int." workshop over the next 10 days (she leaves today). She will be giving several teachings and devotionals on top of helping to administer the workshop.
2. Pray for Steve who will be speaking at the South Asian Fellowship's SDR (Spiritual Development Retreat) Nov. 2. This is an annual retreat of South Asian Christians living in Chiang Mai who reach out to their fellow South Asians working here.
3. Keep praying for Heather to find a new 'flat' in Glasgow. Pray also that the right opportunity would come for her to direct another play.

Serving Christ with You, Steve and Alberta
