When Heather and Krista attended college here in Johnson City, they had several families that pitched in to host them in the our absence. Alberta and I purposed that we would like to be a surrogate family like that to, specifically, international students if we had the chance. We've let a number of people know that we would like to connect with international students and one of our friends got back to us. A first year Indian grad student, Annie, needed a place to stay until she could move into her apartment at East Tennessee State University. We said we would be glad to host her. Shortly after she was settled in to her room, we asked if she "likes to cook!" 😀 Her answer was yes, and we've already enjoyed some of her excellent Indian cuisine. Pray for Annie as she navigates studies that are part on campus and part online. Pray for us that we can be a support to Annie as she navigates post grad studies in the Covid age.
Praise Report: Krista has a new job! Pray for her as she adjusts to full time work while finishing up her thesis for her Masters in Illustration.
Pray for me and Alberta as we continue to connect online with nationals in South Asia and missionaries spread around the world. The needs are so diverse.
Serving Christ with You, Steve and Alberta
