Pennies on the Dollar

When you are packing up in a hurry like we were as we left Thailand last year, you don't expect to get much for your stuff! A Thai  friend of one of our co-workers, Goy, whose husband had left her and her daughter, was desperately trying to furnish a small apartment in the wake of her husband's departure. We hadn't found anyone interested in buying our washing machine so we decided to surprise Goy by gifting it to her. As we helped her load her other purchases into the elevator, we slid the washing machine in. She said "I can't afford this" and then cried when we told her it was a gift.

We just received a wonderful update on Goy. She got re-acquainted with a Christian guy she had known in the village she came from who's wife left him and his pre-teen daughter. Christmas will be quite a bit brighter and fuller this year for Goy and Ben and their two daughters as the Lord redeems their desire for marriage and family. Pray with us for Goy and Ben as they plan to marry early next year.

Prayer Requests

1. Pray for safe travels for Heather and Krista as they join us from Atlanta this week. Pray for good family times as we are together.
2. Pray for our missionary friends Steven and Joan Guest. They just arrived in the Philippines and went straight to the hospital from the Cebu airport, both testing positive for Covid-19 . Then, typhoon Rai hit their province. They are not sure what they'll find when they finally make it back to their house. Pray for healing and grace to deal with the after affects of the storm.
3. Pray for the Peace of Christ to dwell in all of our hearts and homes!
