Ears That Can Hear

Alberta and I attend an exercise gym called 'The Wellness Center" regularly. One of the things I have noticed is how often people are using earbuds or headsets, even when they are in the change room or the hot tub. One guy even was telling me how well his waterproof earbuds worked in the pool! 

Knowing that the Lord has given us 'ears to hear', I've purposed to keep my ears open to the possibility of conversation and new relationships. 

Two of my new friends are Jason and Dan. We struck up conversations in the locker room (a different kind of locker room talk than was made famous in recent years) and started meeting together for coffee with Bible study and prayer for one another. 

Jason recently landed a new position in his work that is taking him to Texas (he leaves today!). Pray for Jason as he starts a new chapter in his life and for us as we plan a regular Zoom call once Jason gets settled. Perhaps we'll call it the Wellness Men's Group! 😊

Prayer Requests: 

1. Praise - Alberta is a week shy of her final post op doctor's visit hoping to be released to get  back to customary activities. She is back to feeling normal! Pray that her appointment would go well. 

2. Pray for us as we continue to prepare for our Philippines trip. Alberta leaves June 6 and I leave June 15. 

3. Pray for Alberta as she co-facilitates one of the women's trainings online. This training will finish in person after she arrives in Isabela, Philippines.
