The Storm Before the Calm

Our last three weeks have been a blur of activity. July 17-26 we visited my home town of Northwood to celebrate the town's 126th anniversary. We had a wonderful time renewing contact with family members we hadn't seen for 20 plus years. Then we packed up and returned to Bethany. One important event we all participated in was Kimberly & Jesse Stewart's wedding. Alberta and I were Kimberly's legal guardians until she turned 18 and Heather and Krista have been like sisters to Kimberly and her brother Josiah. I had the privilege of sharing a message at the wedding and Alberta helped with some of the practical details. On the evening of Aug. 3, we celebrated both of the girl's birthday's. Heather was 21 on Aug. 3 and Krista will be 18 in Nov. so we wanted to include her since she'll be away at college on her birthday. The following morning we loaded up and headed for Wheaton. The pace is slowing now as we get settled in. Could a calm be coming? More in our next update!
