"The Curious Savage"

Believe it or not that's the name of the play that Heather had a part in last weekend. Last Friday night about 10 pm I noticed on Facebook that Heather was getting compliments from her friends on her performance in the school play at Milligan College. The last performance was to be Saturday, Oct. 23. "Boy, it's too bad we can't be there" I thought to myself as I finished up homework. And then out of nowhere this crazy thought presented itself. "Well why don't you and Alberta do it?" I put the question to Alberta thinking she would tell me 10 reasons why we couldn't and she said "you know, we should do it". That was all it took - we called the girls and asked them what they thought and by 4 am Saturday morning we were "on the road again". We arrived in Johnson City at 5 pm and had a bit of time with the girls before attending the play. Heather did a tremendous job and we had the time of our life with both of the girls. Sunday morning came way too fast: by 7:30 am we were headed back to Wheaton and our fairy tale weekend gave way to classes and work. We praise God for safety on the road and a whirlwind break to see the girls.
