Volunteering at Thai Border Police School

Dear Family and Friends,

One of the things you learn after many years living outside of your own country:

It is a privilege to live and minister under the protection and care of government different from your own. Last week Thai immigration officials reached out to one of our expat contacts here in Chiang Mai with a request for a number of fluent English speakers to help Thai border patrol police trainees with their English skills. Alberta and I responded - glad to lend a hand to the government that has been gracious in granting us permission to base in their country.
We had a great time and not a few laughs as our students tried to wrap their tongues around key English phrases.

Prayer Requests:

1.  Pray for the Thai people to open their hearts to God's love through the many acts of kindness believers are extending toward them.
2.  Pray for Alberta's travels to attend brother Wally's wedding to Caroline in Ontario, Canada. She leaves July 2 and returns July 13.
3.  We and another member care couple are developing a two day workshop for team member care workers here in Asia in October. Pray that each of us would have the anointing and skills for the training we are putting together.

Serving Christ with You, Steve and Alberta
