Father's Day and Family Farewells
Dear Family and Friends,
We arrived back in Thailand June 24th after a great last week with Heather and Krista at the tail end of our 2 month furlough. Between our packing up and their jobs we managed to squeeze in some fun times together. For Father's Day, the girls treated us to some great Tennessee barbecue, then some hiking on Roan Mountain (6286 ft.). As you can see in the picture, the weather turned stormy and our picnic and Phase 10 game had to be postponed. We sure appreciated the time we could spend with Heather and Krista and will miss them a ton as we settle back into life and ministry in Asia.
Speaking of fathers, Alberta and I were able to help my dad move back to Northwood, ND during our visit. Eight months in the big city of Grand Forks left dad longing for the town where he'd spent the last 25 yrs. with my mom. Thanks for praying for him as his spiritual hunger grows.
Prayer Requests:
1. Pray for us as we switch cultural gears from furlough visits in the USA to pastoral care here in Asia.
2. Pray for us as we begin to set up our travel schedule for the next 10 months: our first trip is to Taiwan August 31.
3. Pray for us as we do our best to engage, with our siblings, in the care of our elderly parents, Dave K. and Greta Lubberts from the other side of the world.
Serving Christ with You, Steve and Alberta
