Biking In Burma
Dear Family and Friends,
As we made our way from Yangon to a rural province 5 hrs. bus ride north, the pace of life slowed. We were reminded so much of our many years in the rural Philippines. Our hosts, J and T rented bikes for us to tool around on in the city with them. When we asked them how many foreigners are in their city of 200,000 they said "you and Alberta are no. 5 and 6!" No wonder we saw surprise and delight on the faces of the local people! One of their major challenges is how to provide boundaries for themselves and their 2 yr. old child.
People are so interested to visit them and touch and hold their little one! It was a privilege to come alongside this brave couple as they seek to reach the lost. Pray for their ability to penetrate the cultural grip that Budhism has on the hearts of the people and pray for the new government's success.

Prayer Requests:
1) Pray for us as we begin the joyous yet complicated task of scheduling visits while we are in the US (March 16-July 2).
2) Pray for Heather and Krista in the midst of submitting applications to a number of grad schools. For some of them they must travel to school interviews while juggling job responsibilities.
3) Pray for Alberta in the thick of her first online class. Internet connectivity is essential and has been difficult in our recent travels.
Serving Christ with You, Steve and Alberta
