Digging Deep into the Tool Box

Dear Family and Friends,

Sometimes, a repair job requires you to dig into your tool box for an exotic assortment of tools to address the problem. Pastoral care for Christian workers is often like that. Mary (not her real name), recently married to a member of a south Asian culture, learned that she would need to leave TEAM to join her husband's organization. Taking up residence in south Asia with her new husband in a new organization requires a lot of adjustments. Add to this her husband's bout with cancer, the need to find a way to route her support gifts to her husband's organization and the need for health care options for herself. As a newly married woman, she sometimes felt overwhelmed by it all. Thankfully, we've dealt with many of these kinds of challenges in the past 20 yrs. providing member care for other cross cultural married couples and were able to make suggestions and recommend resources.  Thank you for your prayers for our trip to India. Team's Christian workers came to our Delhi conference from the north of India all the way to Sri Lanka to encourage one another and set goals for advancing the Kingdom of God.

Prayer Requests:

1. Pray for us as we schedule our summer travels in the US and Canada. Our available time is tight as Alberta's studies will need to be worked around this year.
2. Pray for Alberta as studies ramp up. She has an intensive in Bangkok May 20-26, another in Columbia, SC June 19-23 and finally the full fall semester at Columbia Int. U. Aug. 15-Dec. 15.
3. Pray for our member care team as we work together to find solutions for needs in the TEAM family worldwide.
4. Pray for me (Steve) as I bring the message to the international church we attend in Chiang Mai May 7.

Serving Christ with You, Steve
