Basil Goes to Glasgow

Dear Family and Friends,

Shortly before finishing up her masters program at the University of Surrey, Heather visited a 'plant pound' and rescued a sickly basil plant. Basil became her sole companion as she made her way on trains and subways to bonnie Glasgow and the Royal Conservatory of Scotland. Finishing up in Surrey on a Thursday, she needed to be ready to start her new Masters program in Theater Direction of the Classics the following Monday in Glasgow. Basil and Heather survived the trip quite nicely. Pray for her as she adjusts to 1) her new study program 2) her new 'flat mates' - all 10 of them 3) the hole in her heart that leaving friends in Surrey has created. We were encouraged to hear that one of her classmates at the Royal Conservatory is a believer and  they have found a good church to attend.

Other Prayer Requests:

1. Pray for Krista as she adjusts to a busy schedule of classes and work in the admissions dept. of Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). Pray for her as she looks for a church in Atlanta.
2. Pray for Alberta as she schedules visits with refugee women in the Columbia area as part of her internship program. Some of their stories are heart rending and Alberta needs wisdom and courage to help them process the trauma they have experienced.
3. Pray for both of us as we interact with our new director of member care, that we might be of help to him as he comes up to speed on the member care needs of TEAM.

Serving Christ with You, Steve and Alberta
