Heather at the Globe

Dear Family and Friends,

Heather had the chance of a lifetime to spend a month of her studies at 'Shakespeare's Globe' in London. She and the other 3 theatre directors' in her cohort had the opportunity to direct scenes from Shakespeare's plays in the rarefied air of London's theatre scene. One slight drawback - it's an outdoor theatre and staying warm was a challenge in the month of January! 

Alberta and I are just back from southern Thailand where we attended an annual conference of workers from the big country north of us. Testimonies of a tightening of visas and new religious laws have people on edge. We had several good debriefs with workers and Alberta presented a workshop on 'Finishing Strong' using some material from her CIU studies. She continues her studies online as we travel. She has a weekly class that begins at 4:30 am (Thailand time) which has provided some interesting twists to our Wednesdays! Her class was just ending as the sun rose in the above picture.

Prayer Requests: 

1. Pray for us as we co-host a member care training here in Chiang Mai Feb. 8-12. We will have 20 member care workers gathering from all over Asia to cover topics like sexual purity, singleness on the field and staying connected. Our prayer is that each of these people return to their ministry areas better equipped to care for their co-workers and alert to any warning signs of potential problems.
2. Pray for Heather as she continues to work on getting her Canadian passport. This might be a big help to her as she finishes up her studies and looks for opportunities to work in the UK. 
3. Pray for both Heather and Krista as they get established in their  new locations in a community of friends.
