Owl in a Day's Work
Greetings from Columbia, SC. We heard from Krista in Atlanta that this little guy kept her up late on one of her school nights. She sighed "I'd like a refund on last night's mediocre REM cycles, please!" She finishes up her 3rd quarter May 31 and will drive up from SCAD to be with us for a few days before we head back to Asia. We are so proud of Krista for her diligent studies and beautiful artwork she is doing. Pray for her as she plots out her plans for the summer. She hopes to work on her portfolio and spend quality time with friends.
Alberta just finished her 1 week intensive here at Columbia International University on the subject of Grief and Loss. It was an intense course not only because it completed a 3 credit course in one week, but because the subject matter was weighty. Alberta is seeing the light at the end of the tunnel - she has 3 more courses before she completes her masters. Pray that all of the course will be available in this next year. It is her hope to graduate April 2019.
Prayer Requests:
1. Pray for Heather in Scotland to get her local ID card delivered. She finds herself in bureaucratic limbo. Also, pray for her application for a Canadian passport to be finalized and reach her.
2. Pray for our member care team retreat May 21-24.
3. Pray for our 30th anniversary trip to Israel June 6-13. We've planned this for quite awhile but want to be wise in lieu of the current unrest in the region.
Serving Christ with You, Steve and Alberta
