Merry Christmas from Thailand

We have a saying in the mis. world, "Be ready to preach, pray or die at a moment's notice". Last Friday, the pastor of our international church texted me (Steve) that he was in hospital with a case of food poisoning and could I bring the message on Sunday?" Yikes!

God was so faithful to give me a message on "Transitions" that I could share with our transitory overseas Christian worker community. After the service an African brother from Nigeria approached me to share how much God loved him by sending that message to him at this time. He has just finished his Phd studies here and was planning to move his wife and 4 children to Thailand, as he is taking a lecturer's position at one of the local universities. Others came up and shared that they were also on the cusp transition to new situations. Pray for our pastor's full recovery and the transients in our community - so many on the move in their service to God.

We want to thank you for your faithful prayers and financial support through this year. There have been additional costs regarding Alberta's studies and other unexpected costs but, as we come to the close of 2018, we can say that the Lord has met our needs. May you have a wonderful holiday season with the family and community God has put you in.

Prayer Requests

1. Pray that we can take quality time to rest during the holidays.
2. Pray for us as we head to Nepal Jan. 2-9 to attend a Team annual conference.
3. Pray for Heather and Krista as they visit friends over the holidays and deepen their friendship with each other.

Serving Christ with You, Steve and Alberta
