Report from the Rooftop of the World

Dear Family and Friends,

It was not that Nepal was so much colder than what most of you are experiencing (36-38 F at night). It was just that the temperature inside our cabin was the same as outside! Seeing one's breath while shaving in the morning was a tip off that we had some adjusting to do!

Once again, our schedule was filled with opportunities to share meals and pray with dedicated believers as they stretch themselves to bring the Gospel to those who have not yet heard. One of the couples who just finished language school is planning to move out into an area where an, as yet unreached people group numbering about 750, has yet to hear the Gospel. One of Alberta's friends at Columbia International University heard about this opportunity and has expressed interest in possibly joining them. Join us in praying for the 'Rasa' people (not their real name) that God's love for their unique ethnicity would be felt as believers move into their region.

Prayer Requests:

1. Pray for Alberta and I for healing from something we picked up in Nepal. We were not only cold there but brought home a cold/flu, and the timing is not the greatest 😀.
2. We head to South Thailand to an annual conference with people from the big country north of us  on the 16th. They've had a rough year with the loss of friends who were interviewed and had their visas cancelled. People are on edge - pray that we may we bring truth and comfort to their difficult situations.
3. We are offering our annual member care facilitators training Jan. 21-25 to non-Team member care workers this year. Pray for us as we co-lead this training on trauma, risk and conflict - a sober collection of topics. Pray for smooth flights for our speakers, Mark and Stacey Conard, as they come from North Carolina to lead the sessions.
4. Pray for Heather as she heads back to England (with Canadian passport and 2 yr. visa 😊) to look for opportunities to work in theatre. Pray for Krista as she heads into the last half of her second year at SCAD in Atlanta.

Serving Christ with You, Steve and Alberta
