Going the Ten Thousandth Mile

Well, actually, it is 10,013 miles from from Charlotte, NC to Chiang Mai. Our guest speakers, Mark and Stacey Conard presented on the topics of trauma, conflict resolution and risk acceptance by day and worked through jet lag by night! We opened our member care facilitator training to other organizations and had about 10 others join us, several commuting from Chiang Mai to our venue just outside of town.

Several of those attending took advantage of having the Conards on site to meet with them and talk through issues that they or others in the ministry areas were dealing with. With the security situation in the country to our north having ramped up considerably in the last year, we were grateful for new insights in how to help people processing trauma and risk. Pray for the attendees to be able to apply the things they learned as they return to their ministries in countries all over Asia.

Prayer Requests:

1. Pray for Heather as she settles back into life in Scotland. She has two projects she and some friends from her cohort at the Royal Conservatory are working on that they will present in Glasgow and London in the next month. Pray for inspiration and peace in the process.
2. Pray for us as we prepare for a visit to Team's workers in Taiwan. We are accompanying a new Team member care worker, Linda Fox, to whom we will eventually hand off the responsibilities of some ministry areas. This is our opportunity to introduce her to the Team Taiwan field as we begin the transition process.
3. Pray for us as we prepare for our furlough March 15 - July 25. It is racing to meet us and we've been so busy we haven't been able to give a lot of time to our preparations.
