On the Road in the Mid-west

Having received our vaccinations for Covid, we felt the freedom to get 'out on the road again.' We felt more than ready to see friends and family and take meetings in person.  We are currently in Minnesota, over half way on our journey.

We met Bethany's member care dept. for a full day of strategy meetings, discussing how to provide member care for the 70 interns from Bethany Global University (BGU) spread out around the world while maintaining care for the more than 100 long term missionaries serving in some of the hardest to reach 'fields on the globe'. We spoke at two churches in Northwood, ND. We had to run from one to the other the same morning due to scheduling of an all church gathering the following Sunday as part of the town's annual "Old Fashion Weekend".

It has been great to escape our 'Covid Cave' experience and meet together in person with friends and family. We look forward to more travels later in the year. More about that another time.

Prayer Requests:

1. Pray for us as we finish up our trip this week, arriving back in Johnson City on July 30th.

2. Pray for Alberta as she prepares for Equipping Women International/Entrust's upcoming training on 'Facilitating Relational Learning' that will be held weekly from August through November.

3. Pray for our friends, Omar and Shana (not their real names) as they ramp up outreach to the sick during a Covid spike in Bangladesh. They have recently received donations that will enable them to begin providing care for the poor of their community that have no hope of getting medical help in hospital. If you get Covid in some of these communities people believe you are cursed and they will shun you. God is reaching out through churches like the one Omar and Shana have started to convey Christ's love and compassion for the those suffering from Covid.

Serving Christ with You, Steve and Alberta
