Lawn Crew Fellowship

 Alberta and I have been getting involved in our local church as we settle into life in Johnson City. She has taken on a weekly commitment to help in the church's food pantry. I saw a request for help on the lawn crew and offered my services. There are 4 of us guys that take care of the grounds around the church. As we would normally just wave hi if we happened to be taking care of our work on the same day, I started wondering if we could get together and get to know each other. The result is a new men's group I'm calling the "Lawn Crew Fellowship". 

We had our first meeting last Saturday at a local coffee shop. One of the guys shared that he's going through a rough patch in a relationship. We prayed for our brother. Here is a way we can use our 'outdoor affiliation' to provide some interior support. Pray for us as we establish a monthly connection over coffee. 

Prayer Requests: 

Continue to pray for Alberta as she and her companions in Equipping Women Int. facilitate a training with 8 women throughout Asia. She will be doing most of the teaching for the next two weeks during their 3 hr. training sessions. Also keep her health in your prayers as she has a lot of contact with people getting tested for Covid. A number of them are testing positive as many of our Tennesseans have not been vaccinated. 

Pray for Krista as she begins the process of looking for a bigger apt. in the Atlanta area. With all the working from home she's doing she would like to have an additional room for her office. 

Also pray for Heather as she looks for additional income sources.    Due to a change in policy by the Chinese government, the teaching of English to Chinese kids through foreign companies is coming to a close.
