A Walk Down the Aisle
The year was 1990. We had just moved into Gappal, the village where we planted a church in the Philippines. We were honored guests at the local high school graduation and watched as Melonie Fiesta (Melo), the Salutatorian gave her commencement speech in English. She got stuck in the middle and wasn't able to finish. We could tell she was embarrassed. Afterward, we reached out to her to help her process her disappointment. She came to Christ through the youth group we started and has been a strong believer ever since.
Fast forward to 2022, Melo has lived in the US for almost 20 yrs. and served in the Navy for the last 15. She finally met her future husband online and it was our joy to walk Melo down the aisle in a small service in Fredericksburg, VA last week. Pray for Melo and Kenny as they start their new life together. Melo will go on her last deployment for the Navy to Kuwait next month. Pray for them as they will be apart for 6 months.
Prayer Requests:
1. Pray for Alberta as she prepares a teaching session for Bethany Global University's member care class next week.
2. Pray for Heather as she has recently had a job interview.
3. Pray for Krista as she begins to research buying a home in the Atlanta area.
Serving Christ with You, Steve and Alberta
Such a beautiful story, and picture! I am excited to hear Heather and Krista's good news, also, and will look forward to hearing the outcome of Heather's interview - and what it's for.
